Identity and history come together to create the purest concept of terroir: a solid union, made even stronger by the attention to detail and the desire to obtain the highest quality. Only in excellent, suitable and gifted areas does the word terroir stand for quality assurance. We work calcareous, marble, moraine, schist and soils rich in galestro to obtain large Franciacorta, Chianti Classico, Barolo, Trebbiano and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo according to tradition and respecting the most typical varietal expression. ForteMasso is located right in the heart of the Langhe, made up of gentle hills that resemble a seabed. We are in Monforte d’Alba in Castelletto, famous Cru for the production of Barolo. ForteMasso is located in a dominant position enjoying a unique panorama of the Langhe and villages. Its Nebbiolo da Barolo vineyards rest entirely on the Castelletto Cru, within which the Historical Pressenda Vineyard is included.

Simone Scaletta wine springs from a never ending Love for the Land, from the curvy hills of the Langhe area, with all its charm, youthful but ancient as well as its extraordinary generosity. The cellar requires memory as well as innovation: the latest enological techniques, which are capable of bringing out the best from this exceptional grape, are combined with the experience and wisdom of the past, springing from the teaching of those who carried on this tradition before us. Making a great wine means being able to imagine the future while your heart embraces the past. Simone produces the classic Langhe red wines: Dolcetto d’Alba D.O.C. Viglioni, Barbera d’Alba D.O.C. Sarsera, Langhe Nebbiolo D.O.C. Autin ‘d Madama, Barolo D.O.C.G. Chirlet, Barolo D.O.C.G. Bussia and Barolo D.O.C.G. Riserva. The unrivalled quality of Renzo Seghesio’s wines is assured by the attentive care of the vines, the accurate selection of the grapes, the attentive work in the cellar and the unique characteristics of the Pajana della Ginestra, historical Barolo vineyard. Besides the Barolo Cascina Pajana, the winery produces Nebbiolo Langhe, the Ars Vivendi, an intriguing mix of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Merlot refined in Slavonian oak casks with a final light touch of barriques and Barbera d’Alba.

Silvano Bolmida winery is located within the Bussia cru, where the cultivation of the 5 hectares of vineyards is carried out exclusively by Silvano Bolmida and his parents. Frequent tilling of the soil ensures not only natural weeding, but also good oxygenation and organic turnover in the deeper layers. The harvest, which is carried out by hand, carefully follows the evolution of the analytical and polyphenolic values of each individual portion of the vineyard in order to produce wines where the extractive richness mixed with elegance is a concept already present in every single bunch. A long refinement in the bottle (14 months and more for the Barolo) means that the wines arrive on the market already drinkable and it will be the consumer’s choice to appreciate their harmonious youth or to wait for their complexity in evolution, always having in front of him a wine that represents the identity of a vine, of an area, of a producer and of his family.

Cascina Disa in the early fifteenth century was a settlement of monks of the Abbey of Breme, which even then were dedicated to the cultivation of grapes and production of wine in the Langhe. Since 1965 is the seat of the Farm Sandri, that continues the long wine tradition of these lands. In Surì Disa, a hill 300 meters above sea level, facing south east, were implanted Nebbiolo vines used to produce today 3,500 bottles of Barolo.

A name that is lost in time, by late 1800, of which no one knows the origins. At the head of this winery in Monforte is Diego, who with the help of his sons handles 7 hectares of vineyards with typical Piedmontese varieties: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d’Alba and Chardonnay. It produces a very limited number of pieces, including Barolo, Nebbiolo Langhe Chardonnay and Dolcetto d’Alba. Just under 4,000 bottles for each type, which makes its production a unique opportunity.
