The estate was founded in 1996, when Pier Paolo Monti purchased a few vineyards in Monforte d’Alba. The vineyards of Bussia, San Martino, Val di Sacco, Camie, Chiese are all within the Monforte commune and cover a total of 16 hectares and 6 varieties: Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which go into Monti’s Dossi Rossi Langhe DOC, and two white grapes, Riesling Renano (Rheinriesling) and Chardonnay, which make up the white Langhe DOC, L’Aura.
